Ingeniería Agrícola is a publication of the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute, it was granted the Scientific-Technological Serial Publication Certification from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) of the Republic of Cuba, its electronic version was registered in the National Registry of Serial Publications (RNPS) on March 9, 2011 with No. 2284, Folio 162 and Volume III (E-ISSN- 2227-876) and its printed version was registered in the National Registry of Serial Publications (RNPS) on September 23, 2011, with No. 0622, Folio 208 and Volume I (ISSN-2306-1545) with which its printing and circulation was authorized.
The journal Ingeniería Agrícola began publishing in print and digital formats in 2011. It is an open-access journal licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, with the author retaining all non-commercial rights to the work. The journal accepts submissions in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
The journal meets the certification requirements established for scientific and technological serial publications, as provided for in Section Three, Article 20 of Resolution No. 59/2003 of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.
Indexed in international databases and directories, its contributions play an important role in advancing global agricultural knowledge and sustainability.
The journal can be consulted at: DOAJ , REDALyC, PKP INDEX, Latindex, RedCien, EBSCO Information Services and AGRIS (FAO).
In May 2015, a license was obtained to associate the journal's content with the EBSCO Information Services service once published.
The journal was approved and included in the PKP INDEX database in June 2017, indexed in the redalyc.org database in 2019 and included in this database in September 2020, in DOAJ in August 2019, and in the Latindex.org catalog 2.0 directory in January 2024.
Recently, on February 17, 2025, we received notification from the Scielo Cuba network that Agricultural Engineering had been incorporated into this collection, as it met the basic requirements. It now has an AGRIS profile and active status within the FAO AGRIS International Network as a data provider for this network.
It is currently installed in the Open Journal System (OJS), with issues published from 2011 to the present appearing on the site pages: UNAH Journals, RNSW: N-000036, URL registration: revistas.unah.edu.cu, and all papers are included in the Cuban Digital Identifier (Cu-iD).

In 2011 and 2012, two issues per year were published, in 2013 three issues per year, and from 2014 to 2024 four issues per year.
Starting in 2025, the journal will abandon serial publication and adopt a continuous publication format, without serials. Each article will be published upon completion of its editorial process. Ingeniería Agrícola is a multidisciplinary scientific journal. Its objective is to be the primary means of disseminating scientific and technological knowledge to the national and international community.
have been published Until July 2025, 537 works , of which 416 were original articles (77.5%), 47 points of view (8.7%), 37 technical notes (6.9%), 17 reviews (3.2%), and 20 works on methodologies, thesis summaries, editor's letters and software for 3.7%.
It has an editorial committee made up of six researchers from IAgric Cuba, seven from UNAH, one from the Soil Institute, four from Brazil, three from Ecuador, one from Spain, two from Japan, two from South Africa, six from Mexico, and one from the USA. It also has more than 45 referees and collaborators.
It publishes original, innovative articles that undergo blind peer review. It has fulfilled the important function of disseminating the results of the center where it publishes, as well as those of other scientific institutions in the country and abroad, which has been a decisive contribution to establishing and consolidating agricultural engineering in Cuba and the American tropics.
This journal is aimed at professionals, technicians, researchers, and students from around the world involved in irrigation and drainage, agricultural mechanization, efficient and sustainable use of water, land, and energy resources, automation of agricultural processes, agroplasticulture, geoinformatics, among others. Its objective is to disseminate scientific results obtained in the field of Technical and Agricultural Sciences, as well as specialized scientific and technical services at local, national, regional, and global levels.
