Abstract

An emulsion is the bond of water with a hydrophobic element (oils, wax, or other hardly water-soluble bonds). Therefore, it is composed of two phases, an internal or dispersed phase and an external or continuous phase, since these phases are not water soluble or are hardly water soluble, the internal or dispersed phase is made up of drops that are not diluted within the phase external or continuous. The essential thing in the quality of an emulsion is in the size and quality of the drop of the dispersed phase, which in turn is determined by the quality of the device used to obtain it. Another very important factor in the quality of an emulsion is the use of the emulsifier, also called active surfactant, this element is used to prevent the emulsion from breaking. After researching the subject and knowing all the elements, it was decided to manufacture emulsions by hydrodynamic cavitation in Cuba, from soluble oil, crude fuel, fuel oil, diesel and diesel, for which several prototypes were manufactured, including the Hydrodynamic Device. Multi-nozzle Cavitation (HDMC), with which a good dispersed phase is obtained with drops of size of 2÷3 µm and with a great similarity between one and other drops in their magnitude, shape and good homogeneity, achieving better and more complete combustion, reduction of environmental pollution, increase of maintenance periods as a result of the reduction of soot scale, dirt and doll formation.
