The Revista Ciencias Técnicas Agropecuarias (RCTA) is a publication of the Agrarian University of Havana (UNAH), Faculty of Technical Sciences and its Center for Agricultural Mechanization (CEMA).

RCTA is a multidisciplinary scientific journal. Its objective is to be the primary means of disseminating scientific and technological knowledge to the national and international community. The journal accepts submissions in Spanish, Portuguese, and English on topics related to Agricultural Engineering.

The RCTA began its publication in paper format in April 1986 (ISSN: 1010-2760) and in electronic format (open access), in 2006 (ISSN: 2071-0054), it is bilingual (Spanish and English).

It began as a quarterly publication, and from 2025 it will abandon publication by numbers and adopt the Continuous Publication modality , without numbers, as a publication method.

It is an open access journal under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, where the author retains all rights to the work without commercial purposes.

According to ULRICH´S INTERNATIONAL PERIODICALS DIRECTORY , Ulrich's Resource Linker version 1.6.6 February 15, 2007, it is included in the international indexes relevant to its specialty that provide it with dissemination and visibility.

It was awarded the Scientific-Technological Serial Publication certification by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) of the Republic of Cuba in 2006, and appears in the Catalogue of Cuban Serial Publications.

It has an AGRIS profile and active status within the FAO AGRIS International Network as a data provider for this network.

The journal was included in the Redalyc.org database in 2003, one of the first in Cuba.

In the Scielo-Cuba network, it was included in the SciELO Citation Index of the Web of Science in 2010 when it was accepted by the Web of Science.

In 2010, the license was obtained so that, once published, the contents of the magazine would be associated with the EBSCO Information Services service.

The journal was approved for inclusion in the PKP INDEX database in 2017, indexed in DOAJ in August 2019, and in the Latindex.org catalog 2.0 directory in January 2024.

It publishes original, innovative articles that undergo blind peer-review. It has fulfilled the important function of disseminating the results of the center where it is published, as well as those of other scientific institutions in the country and abroad, which has been a decisive contribution to establishing and consolidating agricultural engineering in Cuba and the American tropics. It is available at Cuban universities and research institutes, providing effective support to our professors and researchers in their teaching and research.

It is mounted in Open Journal System (OJS), appearing the published numbers, it appears on the pages of the site: UNAH Magazines, RNSW: N-000036, URL Registration: https://revistas.unah.edu.cu , in addition, all the works are included in the Cuban Digital Identifier (Cu-ID).
