Abstract

The objective of this work is to develop regression models for the estimation of hydrological variables in the Suchiate river basin, Guatemala, which contributes to the sustainable use of water in productive activities of irrigation and electric power production. Four models were obtained, one of the type Richards with an independent variable and three potential multiples of two and three independent variables that allow determining the flow rate, the coefficient of transposition and the intensity of the rain at the basin level. The Correlation Coefficient and the Average Percent Error were checked for their usefulness in order to be applied satisfactorily for predictive purposes.
