Abstract
Se creó el modelo conceptual de datos referente a la información edafológica, basado en estándares internacionales (normas ISO para la información geográfica y la geomática), a partir de un mapa vectorial de suelos. El modelo propuesto permitirá un cambio en la concepción de las bases de datos de suelos, al considerar de manera efectiva el carácter espacial de este tipo de dato y sienta las bases para la creación de un Sistema Geoespacial interoperable para la información edafológica.
