Abstract
La posibilidad de contar con modelos que reproduzcan el comportamiento de las cuencas hidrográficas ante la ocurrencia de lluvias intensas que provocan inundaciones es de suma importancia, ya que pueden predecirse las afectaciones en el sector socioeconómico de la zona en estudio, como por ejemplo en el sector de la agricultura. En el presente estudio se obtuvo un modelo lluvia–escurrimiento semidistribuido a escala de evento en la cuenca del río Reno, localizado en la región Emilia Romagna, Italia, para lo cual se dispuso del SIG Arcview, con la extensión Hec-GeoHMS y del software Hec-HMS para la simulación hidrológica del proceso. El modelo obtenido logra reproducir eventos de gastos máximos que sean independientes y que su gasto pico supere los 350 m3/s con un error por debajo del 10%.
