Cartografía Colaborativa para el Manejo Integrado de Plagas: revisión y análisis.

Resumen

La Información Geográfica Voluntaria (IGV) ha revolucionado la manera en la que las personas comparten información por la web, incursionando en los campos de la ciencia ciudadana, los Sistemas de Información Geográfica con enfoques Participativos, y en el tan mencionado crowdsourcing. En este trabajo, se hace una revisión bibliográfica sobre los conceptos básicos que involucran la IGV con un nuevo campo de aplicación muy poco investigado en el ámbito de la Geoweb: el Manejo Integral de Plagas (MIP). Para ello, este trabajo se presenta en cuatro partes, en las cuales, primeramente, se describe algunos aspectos relevantes sobre la IGV y de sus aplicaciones. Una segunda parte describe la composición de los sistemas cartográficos colaborativos. En la tercera parte, se realiza un breve recorrido sobre el Manejo Integrado de Plagas y de cómo su enfoque participativo puede ser guiado y mejorado mediante la IGV. Además, se lleva a caboun análisis de algunos proyectos en dicha temática tomando en cuentasus objetivos, los participantes que intervienen y la infraestructura técnica del sistema.
